Sarah Durn

Sarah Durn (NINA) Cleveland native and New Orleans local, Sarah is so grateful to be making her acting debut at Dobama after long admiring the Dobama stage as an usher all through her high school years. Sarah works professionally as an actor, director, and writer. Her most recent acting credits include Natalie in STREETFRUIT (Nola Project), Françoise in the devised JEANNE D'ARC: LA TRANSGRESSION (Francophilia Foundation), Cynthia & Chris in THE FIRST WIVES CLUB (Nola Project), Chorus in MEDEA (Mamai Theatre Company), the Player Queen, Gravedigger, and Ghost in HAMLET (NYU), Emily in HONEYMOONERS (NYU) and HER IN THE BOND (NYU), both of which Sarah also wrote. In 2015, Sarah wrote and directed the critically acclaimed devised, site-specific roof-play called ABOVE US for the NYC International Fringe Festival. Sarah has also written and directed films two years in a row for the internationally acclaimed Visible Poetry Project, and is currently a contributing writer for the online journal Film Daily. Sarah holds a BA from NYU Gallatin in Collaborative Storytelling and a minor in Medieval Studies. Sarah wants to thank Nathan and Shannon for giving her the opportunity to act at her favorite hometown theatre!
