Derdriu Ring*(LINDA) A graduate of The Gaiety School of Acting, Ireland and proud member of AEA & SAG, Derdriu has acted across North America and Ireland for over 21 years. Most recently Derdriu performed in THE EFFECT and MARJORIE PRIME at Dobama. Her first Equity role in Cleveland was as Lucy in DRACULA at Cleveland Play House. Since then, she has joyfully performed in many local, national and international theaters. Memorable roles include: Slippy Helen in THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN (Geffen Playhouse), Catherine in A LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT (Hartford Stage), Catherine in PROOF (Cleveland Play House), Iseult in DOUBLE HELIX ( Abbey Theatre), Emma in ANNAPURNA and Maureen in BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE (None Too Fragile), Josie in MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN (Great Lakes Theater), Ellen in THERE IS A HAPPINESS THAT MORNING IS (CPT- superior achievement by an Actress-The Cleveland Critics Award), Barbara in MAJOR BARBARA (Irish Tour), Maggie in HOBSON'S CHOICE, all at Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre (awarded Best actress and supporting actress of the year by Pittsburgh Post Gazette). For the past five years and at present, Derdriu is a teaching artist with Playhouse Square, passionately involved with their International Children’s Festival, Disney in The Schools Program and The Broadway Summer Camp. She has also served as an Artist In Residence numerous times with both Cleveland School of the Arts and Kulture Kids. Derdriu’s proudest accomplishments to date are her two miracles: Rosie and Henry.
