Lara Mielcarek* - MRS. DARLING/ HOOK (she/her) - is thrilled to return to the Dobama stage, Lara was last seen in Hurricane Diane (PAM). Other Dobama credits include: Marie Antoinette, Cock, Becky Shaw, The Norwegians and Or (Cleveland Critics' Circle, best actress award). Other work of note includes: Well at Ensemble Theatre (Cleveland Critics' Circle, best actress award), and A Moon for the Misbegotten at both Ensemble Theatre (2019) and Coach House (2012), Kate in Seminar (Beck Center), Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (French Creek), New York credits include productions at: Red Bull Theatre, The Kraine, Director's Co and Gallery Players. Lara has been a core company member of the Ohio Shakespeare Festival since 2006 and has played over a dozen of Shakespeare's leading ladies including: Beatrice/Much Ado, Lady M/Macbeth, and Kate/Taming of the Shrew. She is making her professional directing debut at OSF with Romeo and Juliet in February ‘25. Lara holds her MFA in Acting from Penn State and her BFA from Kent State.
