Dobama Theatre Internship Program

Interested in an internship at one of the region's only full-time Equity Small Professional Theatres? Welcome to Dobama Theatre, Cleveland’s Off-Broadway Theatre! To learn more about our mission, vision, and values, visit the “About” section of our website.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT DOBAMA THEATRE?

The Internship Program at Dobama Theatre underwent a change during our 22/23 season. Our interns received the new, more accurate title of Resident Associate Directors (or RADs). RADs now receive $15/hour and are included in staff meetings, adding their voice to Dobama’s decision-making process. This aligns with Dobama Theatre’s method of circular management and enhances the professional experience RADs can gain in helping to produce some of the best new plays in American Theatre for Cleveland audiences.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Internships are available for either the Summer Session (May – August) or for the Mainstage Season (September – May). The responsibilities and expectations vary depending on the time of year. Please click below to learn more about each position.
