Mary-Francis R. Miller

Mary-Francis R. Miller (VANESSA) is an actor, vocalist and musician from South Euclid, Ohio. She has previously appear at Dobama in SKELETON CREW and SUNSET BABY. Karamu credits include: The American premiere of The Adventures of the Black Girl in Her Search for God, and the hit productions of Simply Simone: The Music of Nina Simone, A Holiday Jazz Revue and Passing Strange.  Mary-Francis received her training from the Cleveland State University Department of Theatre and Dance. She was also a member of The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus. She has worked with Playwrights Local, Ensemble Theatre, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, Ohio City Theatre Project, and several other theatre companies. Performance credits include: Jelly Belly (Barbara), The Colored Museum (Janine/Medea/Lala), The Bloodless Jungle (Sydney), the revival of Incendiaries, the revival of Objectively/Reasonable: A Community Response to the Shooting of Tamir Rice, the regional premiere of Margin of Error (Daphne), the Ohio premiere of In Red and Brown Water (Oya), The Crucible Opera (Tituba), Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and The Tempest (Ariel).  Film: The Baby Mama Syndrome.  TV: “Upstairs” web-series.  Mary-Francis would like to thank her friends and family for their unyielding support and gives honor and glory to God.
