Tips on filling in the Volunteer Interest Form:
You must save the completed form in order to attach it to an e-mail message. Click in the ‘Name’ field and type your name. You can press Tab to move to the next field, or just click in the appropriate field. Please enter your entire address, including City, State & Zip. Enter any phone number you would like us to have – you can include (h), (w), or (c) if you have multiple phone numbers. And enter any e-mail addresses you would like us to have – you can use the same notations (h), (w) or (c). You can click on any of the checkboxes, or if you use the Tab key to move between fields, you can press the Spacebar to enter a check. In the explanation fields, you can enter up to 2 lines for each column. If you have any comments, you can enter them in the last field.
Volunteer as an Usher
VOLUNTEERING AS AN USHER is a great way for theatre lovers of all ages (and all budgets) to go behind the scenes and see a Dobama play for FREE – we’re always looking for responsible and friendly people to help us welcome our audience to our productions.
Duties and Attire
Ushers are typically called to the theatre 60 minutes prior to the curtain time of a production (though this may vary according to the needs of the play), and are expected (unless otherwise noted) to wear black and white attire. Duties include inserting marketing materials into programs, learning about the seating and theatre protocol, tearing tickets and helping guests find their seats, picking up the theatre space following the performance and most importantly, helping make each patron’s stay as pleasant as possible. Kirsten Hagesfeld, Volunteer Coordinator
Kirsten is generously donating her time as Dobama’s new Volunteer Coordinator. She brings her interpersonal and organizational skills from a wealth of professional experience. Kirsten is a Licensed Independent Social Worker – Supervision and is an Independent Consultant serving clients throughout the area. Previously, she worked professionally as a Program Manager at Mental Health Services, Inc. in Cleveland and at the Lake County Mental Health Center. Kirsten earned her social work degree from the School of Social Work in Aarhus, Denmark, and her MSSA from the School of Applied Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.
