Dobama Theatre Policies

Accessibility. Dobama is an ADA-compliant facility with wheelchair accessibility. Optimum seating for patrons in wheelchairs may be arranged with prior notice.  One companion seat may be reserved per wheelchair request.

All ticket sales are final. Cancellations of pre-paid tickets may be transferred to any future performance in the current season based on availability.

Late Arrivals. If you are unavoidably delayed, you will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager where seating is available, usually following a pause in the program.  We suggest patrons arrive at Dobama Theatre at least twenty minutes before curtain time if you have already purchased tickets.  Please allow additional time if you are purchasing tickets at the door. Box Office opens one hour prior to curtain.

Seating Dobama Theatre will be moving to assigned seating for the 2013-14 season. You may book your tickets online and choose your seats via the seating plan provided. Dobama Theatre does make some accommodations for those patrons with special needs. The house opens 30 minutes before curtain.

In the event of a sold-out performance, Dobama reserves the right to ask patrons to make minor seat adjustments to prevent inaccessible single seats. However, we cannot guarantee that late arriving groups will be able to sit together.

Cell Phone and Pagers must be turned off during the entire performance. Please do not access your phone, send or read text messages during a performance.  The light from the cell phone screen is distracting to both performers and other patrons.

Lost and Found is located at the Box Office.  Please report any misplaced items, lost or found, immediately. Items left for over six months will be donated to a local charity.

Smoking is not allowed inside Dobama Theatre or the Cleveland Heights/University Heights Library.  Smoking is permitted outdoors a minimum of ten feet from the entry.

Cameras and Recording Devices are strictly prohibited in the theatre.  Patrons who violate this rule will be asked to surrender their equipment to an usher until after the show.

Program Changes and Cancellations. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, the programs and artists scheduled to appear at Dobama Theatre change or a show may be cancelled.  As soon as we know a show has been changed, postponed or cancelled, we will announce changes on this Web site, on our Box Office phone line and in local newspapers.  If you have purchased a ticket, or if you are a subscriber who has made a reservation to a performance that has been changed, postponed or cancelled, you will be notified by phone with the information about exchanging your tickets.

Most performances at Dobama Theatre occur as scheduled, regardless of weather. Program changes or cancellations are updated daily on the Box Office line at 216-932-3396.
